NYAPT Art Schock Award Winner!!!

This past Thursday, the Bus Garage Capital Project proposal passed by 80% (139 Yes, 35 No).  With that in mind, it’s fitting to make another exciting announcement:

The Art Schock Award is the highest honor awarded by the New York Association of Pupil Transportation (NYAPT) to recognize transportation supervisors who have been effective leaders and outstanding communicators within the industry.  It is my pleasure to announce that our very own Donna Hackett won this prestigious award this year!

Mrs. Hackett has served as our Transportation Supervisor and for years, and with pride.  She has been a longtime member of NYAPT and served as an NYAPT Officer, providing important input into developing numerous state-level goals and objectives.  She keeps us informed about important changes to the law, needed advocacy, and best practices. Her efforts have resulted in our having the safest (and best looking) fleet of buses in our region!  Her cost-effective systems have saved us time and money in maintenance costs. She advocates for students, drivers, and mechanics alike. She wants what is best for all of us, and she strives to do her best each and every day.

Congratulations Donna!      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7Xf5CHAkoo&feature=youtu.be
